A fellow New Englander, Alicia, contacted me about a great survey she is doing about craft blogs. She is a grad student at the University of New Hampshire and her thesis is about blogging...

A Wonderful Give Away...

I've made a new friend in blogland...her name is Kate and she is from an Etsy store called The Adopt Shoppe. Kate's awesome shop has beautiful jewelry and art prints. Her shop is extra special though. All proceeds from her shop go towards their adoption costs.

Here is a little bit from Kate...

I am Kate. I am a blessed mother and wife. My husband and I lost 2 baby boys before we had our 2 biological children. We could not have any more children. Through the miracle of adoption, we are blessed to have another daughter and we are in the process of adopting again!! I opened my little shop to help pay for our adoption expenses. Every penny of profit goes toward our adoption(s). I am passionate about orphans and try to do everything I can for them. I know I am only one person, but if we EACH do something, it will add up to a LOT!! There is also a message behind my work. I hope what I make is inspiring to you! I try to design each wooden tile necklace to be a "billboard for your heart".

Give Away Winner...

Hi all! Our daughters Courtney and Kelsie left late this afternoon to go back to college. They were home for spring break all last week. We had a great time shopping, eating out and watching tv together and they slept in too. Miss them already :( The house is quiet again, so it's time to blog. Make sure you come back for my next post for another Linking Party, but now it's time to pick the give away winner.

Thank you to everyone who linked up their wonderful projects to last week's Sew Darn Crafty Party! Such inspiration. The comment section was also part of the give away. You had to say what your favorite hobby was. Sewing came in first with quilting a close second. Since quilting is sewing, seems like our sewing machines are buzzing lately. 2 Year Anniversary Give Away...

Happy Blogiversary to me!! January 14th, 2009 was the first day I started blogging. Wow, seems so long ago. The best part of these past 2 years are the all the wonderful friends I have made along the way. Some I have met in person, but sadly the majority I have not. My hope is to meet more of you in the future, but for now, emailing and blogging is such a great way to stay in touch.

To celebrate all of you...and for all you've done for me, I'm having a little give away...a red give away! I love red, it will be Valentine's Day next month and I found this super cute cupcake stand on clearance (you know I love a good clearance).
